El proyecto Ibercivis ya está en marcha. El proyecto no es tan novedoso como las noticias de prensa nos querrían hacer creer, pero de todas maneras es un proyecto interesante. La filosofía es parecida a la de Condor (hacer uso de horas “muertas” de ordenadores de usuario), usando la plataforma BOINC, conocida por ser usada por otros proyectos tipo SETI@Home.

Just finished reading “Computing in the Middle Ages: A View From the Trenches 1955-1983“.
It is quite a candid and interesting book about the history of computing. It does not try to be comprehensive, and is more a biography of one of the persons who was involved in many of the early developments of computing. It is in no way a technical book, and it is read fairly easy. Quite nice as an antidote to the often written oversimplifications about who invented this or that.
